Through using the research cycle to assist in answering a question I am ensuring the the question is broken down into smaller topics, for example, if the question asked 'Describe Shakespeare's upbringing and education' I would be able to analyse the question and determine what the operative word is 'describe' what the limiters are 'Shakespeare' and the keywords 'unbringing and education'.
Through using the research cycle I am ensuring that the research is vaild and is relevent to the question. The research cycle is also helpful when organising ones thoughts on the question.
Using the research cycle allows me to systematically, collect all of my ideas regarding the topic, and conduct a search based on the key ideas i have found. The research cycle is a useful tool for me as it provides me with the steps i need to conduct an effective search on a topic of discussion. It is particularly useful for people like me, who strugle to find a place to start when conducting a research assignment.
The research cycle helps me to find the correct information needed to discuss a particular topic. There may be many ideas that could be used to discuss the topic which the research cycle helps me to narrow down to find the most effective idea. I can then find the key concepts needed to conduct my search and find the relevant information.
